Trip Ideas

Don’t own a car or want to leave yours at home? Save some money and enjoy the wonderful scenery on your way to the world renowned destinations in Yosemite National Park!

YARTS (Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System) is a public transit system offering a comfortable ride from a number of surrounding communities to the park along with connections to free shuttle services in the Valley and Tuolumne Meadows Shuttle (summer only). Each bus offers ample storage for you backpack, bike, climbing gear or any other luggage you intend to bring for your outing. Once in the park, you have endless options for connecting to recreation destinations for hiking, biking, climbing, swimming, backcountry travel and much more!

Below are just a few of the many recreation opportunities accessible from YARTS. You’ll be dropped off right at the trailhead (or swimming hole or climbing spot) and of course picked up when you are ready to head back home! We look forward to seeing you on the bus and the trail soon!
