YARTS celebrates 25 years of providing public transit service into Yosemite National Park in 2025!

The area served by YARTS spans 480 square miles and allows visitors of the Yosemite region the ability to explore the natural beauty and rich history that make this region of California a must-visit destination. Enjoy the breathtaking landscapes on your journey to Yosemite and let YARTS do the driving.

YARTS can get you to Yosemite Valley from Merced and Mariposa Counties on Highway 140, Tuolumne County on Highway 120, Mono County on Highway 395/120E, or the City of Fresno and Madera County on Highway 41.

Mono County

A journey to Mono County will take you to a California you didn’t even imagine existed.

A land of lava and ice, sparkling clear waters and pastel desert. Discover rock formations from another world, the planet’s oldest living trees, and ghost towns of the Gold Rush.

Tuolumne County

Mariposa County covers more than 1,460 square miles of the western slope of the Sierra Nevada, rising from the edge of California’s Central Valley through golden foothills and all the way up to the alpine heights of Yosemite National Park and the High Sierra.

Merced County

Who We Are

YARTS is a regional public transit system that provides year-round bus service to Yosemite National Park on Highway 140 through Merced and Mariposa Counties.

During the summer months, additional routes operate into the Park on Highway 41 from Fresno and Oakhurst to the South, on Highway 120 from Sonora to the north; and on Highway 395/120E from Mammoth Lakes in the eastern Sierra mountains.

Service Update from YARTS

The YARTS administrative office will be closed on Monday, September 1st in observance of Labor Day. Regular office hours resume Tuesday, September 2nd.

Bus service will operate as scheduled on September 1st for all corridors. No NPS reservations needed when you ride with YARTS!
